Job description

A leading engineering firm is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer with 10+ years of experience to join their team in Augusta, GA . This position offers an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional with expertise in vertical building projects to lead complex structural designs and contribute to the growth of the firm.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead structural engineering projects from design to completion, focusing on vertical building projects
  • Perform detailed structural analysis and design, ensuring safety, compliance, and functionality
  • Manage and review the preparation of structural calculations, plans, and specifications
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and project teams
  • Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry trends

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil / Structural Engineering (required)
  • Master’s degree in Structural Engineering (preferred)
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in South Carolina and / or Georgia (PE in additional states such as North Carolina, Florida, or Alabama is a plus)
  • 10+ years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on vertical building projects
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD , Revit , and structural analysis software
  • Strong understanding of building materials, construction methods, and codes
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
