Description

Our Lady of Victory is seeking an experienced, innovative and enthusiastic Junior High ELA teacher. Candidates must be dedicated, experienced and enthusiastic about the content they are teaching. The ideal candidate must have knowledge creating lessons that align with Common Core State and Archdiocesan Standards, and who can integrate technology into the classroom. This teacher must work collaboratively and communicate effectively with parents, teachers, staff and administration for the academic betterment of the students. It is imperative that this candidate have a positive mindset, is a good Catholic role model and is highly energetic.

Develop and implement engaging and rigorous English language arts curriculum aligned with standards and school’s mission.

  • Create differentiated lesson plans to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, empathy, and collaboration.
  • Incorporate Catholic values, traditions, and teachings into daily instruction and classroom activities.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their growth and development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, and parents to support the academic and social-emotional needs of students.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree (BA / BS) from accredited university / college in the area of Elementary Education
  • A California Multiple Subjects Teaching and / or Master’s Degree or working toward a CA Credential
  • Comfort and familiarity with the integration of technology into the classroom.
  • Create developmentally appropriate lesson plans; knowledge of Standards-based grading
  • Two or more years of teaching experience
  • A practicing Catholic and knowledge of the teachings of the Catholic Church

    Wage Range

    The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
