Job Summary

Prepares grant applications, manuscripts, Institutional Review Board (IRB) applications, research papers, and assists with complex research papers. Audits research studies, monitors study budgets, resolves complex data collection issues, and implements protocol-specific study recruitment plans. Trains staff and oversees student workers; leads team meetings. Monitors study budgets and orders supplies.

Essential Functions

Primary responsibilities include supervision of all aspects of clinic conduct including tracking and scheduling clinic visits and designating and sharing responsibilities with the other clinical research staff by maintaining certification in most clinical assessments, assisting with clinic visits (either by phone, in-person or completed off-site per protocol) and contacts (appointment reminders, result letters). The Project Coordinator will be responsible for the establishment of procedures and documentation of the study’s Methods of Operation Procedures (MOPs), database documentation and maintenance, and the coordination of communication and tasks between staff, students and investigators locally and the multiple participating sites and coordinating centers. Duties include implementing and maintaining quality assurance procedures; ensuring compliance with regulations and policies particularly for the IRB, NIH, and participant data
