Event Setup Section – Temp Labor Work

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Furniture and Equipment Setup : Assemble and arrange furniture and equipment in meeting rooms and exhibit halls based on detailed layout diagrams.
  • Disassembly and Storage : Disassemble furniture and equipment after events and transport items to designated storage locations.
  • Heavy Lifting : Assist in moving furniture and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Event Preparation : Handle tasks such as stacking and unstacking chairs, repositioning movable walls, and setting up stages, podiums, and stanchions.
  • Decorative Setup : Ensure tables are correctly positioned and provide additional services like setting tablecloths and skirts.
  • Minor Cleaning and Trash Removal : Address any immediate cleaning needs and remove trash generated during event setup.

Shift Schedules :

  • 1st Shift : 6 : 00 AM – 2 : 30 PM
  • 2nd Shift : 2 : 00 PM – 10 : 30 PM
  • 3rd Shift : 8 : 00 PM – 4 : 30 AM
  • Qualifications :

  • Physical strength and stamina to handle extended periods of heavy lifting.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and layout plans accurately.
  • Previous experience in event setup is preferred but not required.
  • General Work Expectations for All Positions

  • Work Hours : Shifts range from 4 to 12 hours within a 24-hour period. The majority of shifts are 8 hours long, but actual lengths depend on event requirements.
  • Flexibility : Workers may be asked to adjust their hours or shifts based on event needs.
  • Transportation : Workers are responsible for their transportation to the site or the designated parking areas with shuttle service provided to the venue.
  • Worker Requirements

  • Attire : Workers must wear clean, black, collared shirts, long black pants (or full-length skirts), and black closed-toe shoes. No hats or bandanas are allowed. Workers not in proper attire may be dismissed.
  • Photo ID : Workers must display a company photo ID badge at all times, featuring their name, picture, and company name.
  • English Proficiency : Workers must be able to understand and follow instructions in English.
