job summary : Responsibilities :
Key Responsibilities :
- Maintain and update financial records for the firm, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
- Prepare and process invoices, expense reports, and payments.
- Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure financial stability.
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and financial reports.
- Handle payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Manage trust accounts and ensure compliance with state bar regulations.
- Liaise with external auditors and provide necessary documentation and support.
- Ensure adherence to accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Assist with special projects and financial analysis as needed.
Qualifications :
Proven experience as a bookkeeper in the legal industry.Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel.Understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.Experience with legal trust accounting and compliance requirements.Excellent organizational and time-management skills.Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.Communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).Skills : Legal Billing, Real estate closing , Trust & Estate, Legal - Advertising, Financial Statements, General Ledger, Bank Reconciliations, Accounts Receivable, Legal Finance Experience : Experienced3 year(s)
