Job description

The Event Financial Administrative Assistant role is a part time position instrumental in supporting the financial and administrative efforts for the Saint Paul RiverCentre and Roy Wilkins Auditorium sales and event management teams. This position is best suited for an individual that is energized by details, organization, consistency and delivering great service to both customers and co-workers.

Responsibilities / Essential Functions :

  • Track event related expenses.
  • Create RiverCentre client invoices and settlements.
  • Maintain event profit and loss statements.
  • Create journal entry posting spreadsheets for finance.
  • Send payment requests to clients through the credit card processing site.
  • Track final invoice payments and update event managers or sales if action is needed for past due accounts.
  • Run reports for internal tracking and client invoices.
  • Data entry in a variety of systems.
  • Serve as a backup for the event contract administrator as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements :

Formal Education & Certification :

  • 2-year college degree preferred or equivalent education and work experience.
  • Knowledge & Experience :

  • 1-3 years of accounting experience.
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

  • Willingness to assist with a variety of tasks and ability to successfully assume new responsibilities.

  • Work Conditions :

  • Physical requirements include sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, lifting, grasping, etc.
  • Ability to work an average of 20 hours per week during traditional weekday hours.
