Job Summary :

Our experienced SQL Database Administrator will support business and technical needs in our cutting-edge insurance web application. This pivotal role involves working with our Software Action Team (SWAT) to resolve issues reported by our users and enhance the application for an improved User Experience.

Role and Responsibilities :

  • Work with the SWAT team to resolve live production issues.
  • Investigate and debug issues found in the field for root cause.
  • Identify areas of concern or improvement for reducing issues and manual intervention.
  • Write and execute SQL statements.
  • Categorize problems and resolutions for tracking trends and hot spots.
  • Work directly with development groups to resolve issues.
  • Communicate with internal users for status and resolution updates.
  • Collaborate effectively and communicate professionally with Agile team members and stakeholders.

Education and Experience :

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related field
  • Previous work experience using SQL and the ability to write and execute commands
  • Experience working on Agile teams, ensuring adherence to burndowns, story pointing, and other Agile artifacts.
  • Understanding of relational databases
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a team-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrable track record of meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with all levels of an organization
  • Ability to prioritize issues and work on multiple items simultaneously.
  • Physical Demands :

    While performing general office duties for this position, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand and / or walk around (including the use of stairs). Other demands include the ability to openly communicate with others by talking, listening, and reading, being able to lift light objects (
