Lumos & Associates is seeking an experienced Public Works Project Manager to help lead our growing team of design professionals in our Boise, Idaho office. This position requires a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Idaho, or the ability to obtain reciprocity within 6 months. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated leader to help build, direct, and advance our new Boise / Treasure Valley Idaho office.
The Project Manager is responsible for leading and supporting public works projects (including transportation, utilities, and pavement maintenance) for agency clients throughout our service territory. As a leadership position within the company, the Project Manager promotes and develops new and repeat business opportunities that align with Lumos & Associates strategies and goals.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities and skills
- Strong technical background in public works and land development and have a demonstrated ability to serve in responsible charge capacity for projects.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present technical information in public forums as well as interpersonal communication with team members and colleagues.
- High level of creativity, organizational skills, and attention to detail, as well as a demonstrated ability to manage and oversee several tasks simultaneously.
- Strong business acumen necessary to maintain project budgets and develop new and repeat business with existing and new clients.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate, oversee, and direct the project design team during the execution of projects in responsible charge.Develop, implement, and maintain project schedules and budgets.Provide coaching, mentoring, and delegating responsibility to staff.Provide technical review (QA / QC) of projects.Serve as the primary contact with clients.Provide leadership in the development of new business and promote repeat and referral business.Prepare and review project proposals, qualification statements, and promotional materials.Requirements
A Bachelor's Degree from a four-year College or University with an emphasis in Civil Engineering.8+ years of progressive civil engineering and management experience.Idaho P.E. license, or ability to obtain reciprocity within 6 months.Experience working in and managing a team of technical staff in multiple disciplines.Excellent oral and written communication skills including public / client presentations.Excellent technical writing.Ability to provide sound solutions, solve problems, and resolve conflicts.Ability to work in a dynamic environment and conduct multi-tasking efforts.Proficiency with AutoCAD and civil design software is a plus.Valid driver's license and driving record with 3 or less demerit points.Pay Transparency Statement :
