AlliedTravelCareers is working with Barton Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified Psychology in Kansas!

About The Position

Job Title : Psychiatric Nurse

Job Location : Kansas

Type of Facility : Critical Access Hospital

Length of Assignment : 13 weeks

Start Date : Early April

Work Schedule : 10-12 hour night shifts for 3-4 nights per week

Roles and Responsibilities :

  • Provide nursing care in a 10-bed Senior Behavioral Health Unit
  • Conduct patient intake screenings, evaluations, and triage assessments
  • Perform medication administration and monitor geriatric patients throughout shifts
  • Educate patients and families about self-care
  • Collaborate with a team of 2 nurses and 2 aides per shift
  • Maintain a patient ratio of 5 : 1
  • Utilize Evident EMR system for documentation
  • Adapt to a team-oriented and friendly work environment
  • Assist with other nursing duties as needed

Requirements :

  • Current Kansas or Compact RN license
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an RN, preferably in psychiatric or geriatric care
  • BLS and ACLS certifications
