Job description
  • Strong experience in application development using Guidewire Policy Center.
  • Strong domain knowledge in Property & Casualty Insurance.
  • Strong experience in Product Model Configuration - coverages and coverage terms, availability condition etc.
  • Strong experience in Guidewire integration mechanisms including predefined & custom plug-in, messaging destination, custom batch process, predefined and custom web services, Guidewire Specialist Certification preferred.
  • Experience in Integrating Policy Center with external reporting systems such as (but not limited to) motor vehicle reports, property reports, accident auto clue reports etc.
  • Experience in designing physical design document (UML diagrams - component, class and sequence diagrams, data mapping, data model and error conditions).
  • Experience in developing unit test cases using GUnit for GOSU and Junit for Java.
  • Adaptable and flexible in working under changing and different work environment.
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills and presentation skills.
  • Ability to be cross-functional across workstreams.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge in :

    • A relational database management system (RDBMS).
    • Agile development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, SAFe Agile), practices and principles across product development lifecycle (PDLC).
    • Change management practices in a parallel development environment.
    • Responsibilities :

    • Understand the business requirements and user stories.
    • Review Out of the Box (OOTB) features and identify fitment gaps (if any) between OOTB and user stories.
    • Design and build Guidewire configurations for product model, entity, workflows, rules, activities, assignments and admin data related aspects.
    • Configure PCF UI screens for the functional requirements.
    • Design and build reusable components for an accelerated delivery.
    • Identify the customizations to be done to meet the business requirements.
    • Perform unit testing and code reviews to meet the conformance standards.
    • Do early validation with business users.
    • Provide resolution to technical issues.
    • Lead, Coach, Mentor and Support the Pod teams.
    • Generic Managerial Skills :

    • Should have Excellent written, oral communication skills.
    • Ability to learn and be up-to-date with the guidewire technology.
    • Proven ability to work with changing priorities.
    • Lead from the Front, Proactive and "get-the-job" done attitude.
    • Good in Stakeholder management, Situational awareness & Conflict resolution, Continual improvement, Empowerment and Transparency.
