The Opportunity

With over 30 successful years as a direct marketer of globally inspired home furnishings, Ballard Designs is growing quickly through our retail and e-commerce divisions. To support this exciting growth, we are looking for motivated, team-oriented individuals to join our retail team. As Stock Specialist, you must be, reliable and have general repair experience with electrical systems / equipment.

The Specialist will implement all necessary lighting suspension and maintenance, such as bulb replacement, while also performing all other stock room functions, including receiving and checking in all new shipments and transfers. Assist the Store and Operations Managers in ensuring the accuracy of the store inventory. The Stock Specialist must understand current safety guidelines, be able to identify and report needs for lighting and equipment repairs, prepare merchandise for the floor, and work with a team to ensure placement.

Your Impact

  • You will foster an environment that is helpful, knowledgeable, and efficient for customers and co-workers
  • Contribute to all aspects of store maintenance and help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Preparation and shipment of outgoing merchandise and transfers
  • Ensure inventory control and accuracy by following proper procedures and best practice
  • Maintain all lighting
  • Work collaboratively on floor sets and replenishment of inventory to create an extraordinary guest experience

What You Bring

  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent combination of experience and instruction
  • 1 or more years of shipping and receiving or stock room experience
  • You can move large items up to 75lbs
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Familiar with instructions on blueprints / diagrams / technical drawings for product assembly Additional physical requirements may be required . climbing ladders.
