REMOTE Audio Electronics Power Engineer

The company is a leading global audio electronics manufacturer. They are looking for an Audio Electronics Engineer w / Class-D Power Amplifier experience who is responsible for creating and implementing electronic hardware products for the company. The Engineer will design and develop audio-specific power supplies and amplifiers with power levels ranging from several watts to tens of kilowatts. This Engineer should possess a comprehensive technical background encompassing the design, simulation, fabrication, and testing of switch mode power supplies (SMPS) and class D audio power amplifiers.
Responsibilities :
Designs and implements analog and digital electronic hardware, with a specific focus on audio applications.Conducts development and analysis of audio electronics components and systems.Develops power supplies and amplifiers specifically designed for professional audio products.Analyzes and selects SMPS topology.Performs design simulation.Handles the magnetic design and prototyping of inductors and transformers.Tests, validates and verifies the audio performance of audio systems and subsystems.Tests, qualifies and troubleshoots supplies and amplifiers to ensure compliance with standards such as FCC, CE, UL, and others.Drives and achieves results within challenging time and budget constraints.Takes a leadership role, mentoring and supporting junior engineers in their career development and project design endeavors.Requirements
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor of Science in a relevant Engineering Discipline (BSEE).Minimum of 5 years of design experience, covering the entire process from concept to production.Proficiency in using simulation tools.Strong skills in schematic capture and PCB layout software.Solid theoretical and practical knowledge of switch-mode power conversion for DC / DC and AC / DC power supplies.Competence in magnetics for inductors and transformers.Thorough understanding of switching devices and component selection.Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements and test methods, including UL, FCC, CE, and others as applicable.Extensive hands-on experience in bench testing, probing, instrumentation, and some hand-soldering.Ability to generate professional test reports.Capability to document work effectively in design journals or similar methods.Proficiency in specifying test requirements and procedures.Knowledge of thermal management principles.Strong experience in analog design.Understanding of reliability principles.Knowledge of Control Theory.Preferred Qualifications :
Master of Science in a relevant Engineering Discipline (MSEE).Over 10 years of design experience.Experience in designing medium to high-power switch-mode power supplies (SMPS) of various topologies.Experience in designing off-the-line converters.Application of Control Theory in design.Expertise in magnetics design for inductors and transformers.Experience in high-fidelity analog and digital audio circuit design, including operational amplifiers and high dynamic range audio data converters.Familiarity with Class-D audio power amplifier design.Knowledge of design for reliability principles.
