Mount Vernon School Online
Launched in 2022, Mount Vernon made their sought-after Upper School Competency-based curriculum available in a digital and asynchronous format for students to access anytime and take anywhere. In the spring of 2023, MVSO was available for enrolling students from Grades 9 - 12, offering over 160 courses, and allowing students to learn at their own pace with regular teacher check-ins. MVSO now serves a diverse student body, including student-athletes, performers, homeschool families, international students, gifted learners, and those with health or mobility challenges. In 2024, MVSO graduated its first two students, who went on to attend UGA and the University of Alabama.
MVSO has the potential to serve a global audience with unlimited forecasted growth for years to come.
The Role
MVSO seeks an entrepreneurial and visionary Executive Director to lead and scale our virtual independent school for grades 9-12, positioning it as a category leader in online education. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in virtual education, educational leadership, and business development, with a proven ability to build strategic partnerships, drive enrollment growth, and foster exceptional student retention. This role demands a dynamic leader capable of enhancing the online learning experience through innovative strategies while ensuring operational excellence.
