Since 1972, The Mount Vernon School has been shaping the future of education, serving over 1,250 students from Preschool through Grade 12 on a 40-acre campus in Atlanta, GA. Grounded in Christian values, Mount Vernon empowers learners to become college-ready, globally competitive, and engaged citizen leaders. As the cornerstone of the Mount Vernon Organization, the School fosters a culture of inquiry, innovation, and impact. Expanding its reach through Mount Vernon School Online (MVSO), the online division of the Upper School, and MV Ventures , its pioneering research and educational consultancy, the Mount Vernon Organization is fulfilling its mission to design a better world. By delivering transformative value to its community, Mount Vernon continues to shape education for generations to come.

Mount Vernon School Online

Launched in 2022, Mount Vernon made their sought-after Upper School Competency-based curriculum available in a digital and asynchronous format for students to access anytime and take anywhere. In the spring of 2023, MVSO was available for enrolling students from Grades 9 - 12, offering over 160 courses, and allowing students to learn at their own pace with regular teacher check-ins. MVSO now serves a diverse student body, including student-athletes, performers, homeschool families, international students, gifted learners, and those with health or mobility challenges. In 2024, MVSO graduated its first two students, who went on to attend UGA and the University of Alabama.

MVSO has the potential to serve a global audience with unlimited forecasted growth for years to come.
