Murray-Calloway County Hospital (MCCH) is a public, city-county owned, not-for-profit 152-bed sole community hospital.With a staff of approximately 1,100 people, plus a Medical Staff of 65 physicians, MCCH is the second largest employer in the area.MCCH operates 15 clinics and offers a wide range of services to the communities it serves including Ambulatory Surgery, Anesthesiology, Bariatric Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Family Practice, Inpatient Geriatric Behavioral Health, Inpatient Rehab services, Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, General and Interventional Cardiology, General and Vascular Surgery, Hematology, Medical and Radiation Oncology w / Infusion Services, Obstetrics / Gynecology, Occupational Medicine, Orthopedics, Pediatrics, Psychology and Psychiatry, Neurology, Pathology, Pulmonology, Urology, Home and Residential Hospice, Physical Therapy and Rehab, Sleep Lab and ENT (starting Oct 1, 2024).Radiology Service includes diagnostic radiology, CT, MRI, 3D Mammography and Nuclear Medicine.
Murray-Calloway County Hospital is a not-for-profit community owned hospital. The CEO position reports to 11 member Board of Trustees made up of three (3) permanent members and eight (8) members that are appointed by the city council and county magistrates for four-year terms, following nomination.
Job Summary :
Murray-Calloway County Hospital seeks a dynamic, visionary and healthcare savvy CEO to continue to build upon their past decade of success. The CEO will join a highly experienced, highly regarded and respected leadership team that have guided this organization to historical financial and organizational success. The hospital CEO serves as a key partner of the overall governance structure of the organization and oversees all the aspects of hospital operations, including strategic planning, healthcare planning and execution, financial management, quality programs, physician recruitment, information management, facilities and personnel management and community relations among others. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring the hospital provides high-quality patient care while maintaining regulatory compliance and financial stability. They are charged with maintaining a collaborative and collegial environment with respect to medical staff operations to promote a physician-led organization.
The CEO represents the hospital in the surrounding service area communities and collaborates with stakeholders to meet healthcare needs effectively. A competitive candidate must possess strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills, along with a deep understanding of healthcare administration and industry standards and trends.The future CEO must demonstrate a strong record of establishing, maintaining and leading effective teams while promoting a positive culture for the entire organization.
