- We are seeking a Project Estimator for our fast growing Parking Lot and Asphalt Maintenance business.. As a Project Estimator, you will be responsible for analyzing blueprints or parking lot layouts, specifications, and project details to calculate the overall cost of projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and potential risks, by creating detailed cost estimates, budgets, and proposals to ensure a project is profitable for the company while accurately reflecting the client's needs;

Job Summary
The Project Estimator
Key responsibilities :
Cost estimation :Review project plans, specifications, and scope of work to understand project requirements.
Estimate quantities of materials needed for the project.Research and gather pricing information from suppliers and subcontractors.Calculate labor costs based on project complexity and crew size.Analyze potential risks and contingencies to factor into cost estimates.Develop detailed cost breakdowns for each project phase.Proposal preparation :Prepare comprehensive project proposals including cost estimates, timelines, and project scope.
Present proposals to clients, addressing any questions or concerns.Negotiate contract terms and pricing with clients.Collaboration :Work closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to clarify project details.
Coordinate with subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing and project timelines.Communicate effectively with internal teams to ensure project alignment.Software proficiency :Utilize construction estimating software to generate accurate cost calculations and reports.
Analyze data and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.Required skills
Technical knowledge : Thorough understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.Analytical skills : Ability to interpret complex project plans and accurately calculate costs.Communication skills : Effective communication with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.Negotiation skills : Ability to negotiate contracts and pricing with clients and vendors.Attention to detail : High level of accuracy in cost calculations and data analysis.Education and experience :
Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field2+ years of experience in construction estimating, preferably within the construction sector (commercial, residential, industrial)
