Job Description
Responsibilities :
- Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals.
- Perform laboratory tests and analyze results.
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by veterinarians.
- Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures.
- Monitor and record vital signs of animals under anesthesia.
- Take and develop X-rays.
- Clean and maintain equipment and instruments.
- Provide post-operative care and follow-up instructions to pet owners.
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and nutrition.
- Assist in dental prophylaxis, scaling and polishing. Proficient with taking dental radiographs.
Qualifications :
Certification or degree in veterinary technology or a related field.Previous experience working as a veterinary technician preferred.Proficiency in dog handling, including restraint techniques and behavior management.Knowledge of veterinary critical care procedures and aseptic technique.Strong understanding of veterinary terminology and medical procedures.Ability to perform animal catheterization and administer medications accurately.Experience with X-ray equipment operation.If you are passionate about animal care and have the necessary qualifications, we would love to hear from you.
