Ultrasound Technologist

Ultrasound Technologist Locations : VA New York Harbor Healthcare System (Manhattan, Brooklyn, and St. Albans) Position Overview : Seeking experienced sonographers to perform a wide range of diagnostic ultrasound procedures. Join our team providing comprehensive ultrasound services to our veteran population. Key Responsibilities : Perform general and specialized ultrasound procedures Conduct abdominal, small parts, and pelvic studies Execute vascular studies as needed Perform breast ultrasound examinations Maintain equipment and supplies Document findings and measurements Assist with ultrasound-guided procedures Participate in quality improvement initiatives Coordinate with radiologists and physicians Maintain proper ergonomic practices Required Qualifications : Minimum of 3 years Ultrasound Experience RDMS certification Specialty registries as appropriate Current state licensure BLS certification Experience in multiple ultrasound specialties Strong patient care skills Excellent communication abilities Physical ability to assist patients and move equipment Schedule & Tours of Duty : These positions require rotating shifts that include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. The three standard shifts are : Morning Shift : 7 : 30 AM to 4 : 00 PM Afternoon Shift : 3 : 30 PM to 12 : 00 AM Evening Shift : 11 : 30 PM to 8 : 00 AM Additional Schedule Information : Shifts include a 30-minute unpaid break Position requires flexibility to work any of the three shifts as scheduled Weekend and holiday rotation required Call coverage may be required based on department needs Schedule is posted two weeks in advance Must be able to report to any of the three VA facilities as needed : Manhattan Campus Brooklyn Campus St. Albans Community Living Center Powered by JazzHR
