The Registered Nurse Residential does not supervise any positions.

RN DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Evaluate, observe, record, and maintain health-related information on each resident through initial exams and ongoing monitoring to ensure comfort and safety of residents and staff.
Initiate treatment and management of common health problems in all residents; consult with other healthcare providers as necessary.
Administer medications, prescriptive or therapeutic devices or treatments for clients.
Train residents in health education, disease prevention, nutrition, and other related topics to assist residents in achieving and maintaining optimum health.
Daily support of utilization reviews.
Participate in clinical staffing of residents and work with treatment team to provide residents with holistic approach to health and sobriety.
Conduct initial and periodic training of appropriate staff on medication administration, social detoxification program and other medically related topics to ensure compliance, prevent errors and maintain a highly skilled staff.
Oversee and monitor the dispensing of medication; train appropriate staff in dispensing of medication to ensure residents receive proper dosage.
Provide and maintain reliable, prompt attendance, and ability to work the schedule dictated by business necessity.
Participate in on-call coverage for ShareHouse.
Other duties as assigned by supervisors.
PERIODIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee drug / alcohol testing process to ensure compliance and continued sobriety of residents
Work with other nursing staff members to order medical supply and equipment inventory
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Requires bachelor's degree in nursing; and
2 years related experience in an acute care setting; or
Requires associate's degree in nursing; and
4 years related experience in an acute care setting
Must have experience working in the field of substance use disorders
REQUIRED LICENSES / CERTIFICATES
Must possess current North Dakota Registered Nursing License
Must be CPR certified
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
Possess working familiarly with and knowledge of state and Federal regulations, and company policies / procedures that apply to healthcare and chemical dependency treatment
Ability to read, analyze and interpret business communication
Ability to clearly and effectively communicate in both written and oral forms
Ability to comprehend written and oral communication
Demonstrate a high level of skill with interpersonal relationship-building
Ability to use independent judgment in order to solve problems
Ability to management multiple, competing tasks and demands and manage time efficiently
Ability to establish relationships with clients, peers, direct reports and management
Ability to type / keyboard with minimal errors

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position frequently works in an environment with some physical discomforts; may be exposed to drafts, noise, temperature variations, odors and similar conditions. This position occasionally works in an environment that is very uncomfortable and occasionally works with equipment or performs procedures where carelessness could result in minor injuries.
