About the job

Overview :

We are looking for an (Associate) Scientist level candidate to contribute to our Gene Editing Technology activities. This role will primarily encompass lab work, and the ideal candidate will have experience across a wide range of gene editing technologies and is able to independently design, execute, and analyze experiments. This candidate will be comfortable independently driving projects and work cross functionally to achieve company goals.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design, execute, and analyze complex experiments independently
  • Present their findings to internal stake holders in a clear fashion
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to accomplish shared goals
  • Aid in managing day to day lab activities / ordering
  • Keep a well organized, up to date ELN

    • About you

    Required Qualifications :

  • PhD (or BS / MS degree + 5 years) in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related field, with +4 years of industry experience
  • Expert with standard molecular biology techniques (ddPCR, NGS, cloning, electrophoresis etc)
  • Mammalian cell culture, including primary human cells
  • Prior experience with gene editing tool development and associated delivery systems is required
  • Excellent organizational and priority management skills
  • Strong communication and relationship-building abilities

    • Greater Boston area resident, willing to work 5 days in office
