POSITION SUMMARY :
The position summary states the general nature and purpose of the job. Overall accountabilities are defined in this section.
Prepare records of shipments and bills of lading for outbound trucks. Responsible for accuracy of shipping documents and computer data.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBLITIES AND TASKS :
Responsibilities and tasks are written as follows :
Maintain and input records into SAP and / or production software.
Inspect PIT prior to use. Complete pre-shift inspection form.
Prepare bills of lading for each shipment and checks / records all items loaded for shipment.
Count, weigh, measure, or examine packaging and contents of items for conformance to company specifications per the Spec book.
Document and receive product pallets from production into shipping area.
Scan (using Condor handheld), secure pallet with shrink wrap and label accordingly.
Store completed and inventoried pallets for future shipments.
Load completed / inventoried pallets into trailer, as needed.
Record and check all product for shipment.
Update shipping database.
Notify supervisor or Quality Assurance department of any discrepancies (Truck temperatures, meat age, etc.) in accordance with company procedures.
Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations.
Must plug in (correctly) PIT during breaks, lunch and at the end of each shift.
Operate PIT safely at all times by following the required safety guidelines.
Follow GMPs, Safety and Quality Assurance rules and procedures.
Must wear required PPE.
Follow allergen control procedures.
Ensure proper housekeeping throughout shift.
Report any concerns to a member of management.
Must be certified to operate any PIT.
Must be LTT certified and follow all LTT procedures.
Candidate will also be responsible for :
Loading and unloading supplies.
Must be able to receive supplies and enter them in the computer using SAP.
Send supplies to production floor.
Use a scanner to do supplies verifications on every single pallet.
Perform other duties as assigned.
