Patent Attorney

A company is looking for an IP Counsel to join their legal team and help build and scale their patent program.Key ResponsibilitiesCounsel on the development, acquisition, and protection of intellectual property, focusing on patentsDefine and implement the patent strategy, including international applications and employee-incentive programsWork closely with product, design, and engineering teams to identify and harvest patentable inventionsRequired QualificationsAt least 7 years of experience as a patent attorney, with in-house experience preferredA JD degree (or foreign equivalent) and membership in at least one US state bar, with admission to practice before the US Patent and Trademark OfficeA passion for technology and the ability to quickly understand complex inventionsExperience communicating about patents and patent strategy with senior management and technical teamsStrong project-management skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines
