What you will do
- Prepare day-to-day and month-end close entries. Manage the month-end and year-end closing process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Manage and review reconciliations for balance sheet accounts, bank accounts, and various other general ledger accounts, resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare a comprehensive monthly reporting pack with key financial metrics, KPIs, and variance analyses.
- Prepare cash reconciliations and related journal entries for various bank accounts, monitoring cash flow and liquidity.
- Apply principles of accounting and maintain financial records in strict compliance with US GAAP, Company policies, and internal controls.
- Identify errors, inefficiencies, or opportunities for cost savings, and suggest ways to improve processes and optimize spending.
- Review contracts and invoices, and follow up with vendors and other service providers if any discrepancies are found.
- Assist with tax audits and preparation of tax returns, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on financial projections to support strategic decision-making.
What you need to be successful
BA / BS degree in business, accounting, or related field3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, especially in a general ledger capacityGood understanding of GAAP, with the ability to research accounting issuesStrong written and verbal communication skills to integrate and communicate across all levels of the organization and with external service providersExcellent attention to detail and the ability to perform functions with high level of accuracy with minimum supervisionExcellent computer skills and ability to learn new applications.Nice to have
