The Print Promo Sales Executive (PPSE) is responsible for meeting & exceeding individual and Office Products Division sales and gross profit goals by identifying and winning sales opportunities with new and existing clients via phone, virtual meeting or in person. The PPSE will assess prospects’ & clients’ needs through a consultative sales approach. The PPSE is a salaried position and is assigned to an expansive geographic territory. The PPSE ensures a positive prospect / customer experience is delivered by working closely with the decision-maker / s, facilitating their requests and resolving issues.

While the core focus of this role will be the Print, Promo, Apparel & Webstore product categories / services, this sales role is expected to competently sell all product categories to clients as long as doing so does not negatively impact the client experience in their primary categories of responsibility. A small portion of this position’s role will be to serve as a subject-matter expert for the rest of the sales team members who are “generalists”; possessing some knowledge of these product categories but are not considered experts.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Acquires, expands, and solidifies relationships with new & existing clients – specifically focusing on the Print, Promo and Apparel categories.
  • Implements weekly plan, reaching out and contacting existing or recently acquired clients in person, virtually or over the phone to maintain / establish relationships and generate ongoing sales.
  • Creates and coordinates marketing collateral and campaigns to promote print, promo, apparel & webstore products and services to all SK clients.
  • Assesses client needs; provides professional solutions and develops / conducts sales and product demonstrations to clients; prepares and presents proposals to clients. Answers questions, working closely with client to close programs.
  • Promptly responds and attends to client requests triggering sales and / or sales calls. Answers questions, troubleshoots and resolves issues with assistance from internal office product division teams such as but not limited to customer service, supply operations, print & promotional operations, etc. Ensures timelines are met and the customers experience is positive.
  • Prepares and submits sales pipeline reports on a timely basis; submits additional reports upon request.
  • Maintains client and prospect records and enters all required activity in the CRM system on a weekly basis.
  • Stays abreast of industry trends and marketplace competition along with category changes and innovations; leverages data to strategize client communications and presentations for optimizing sales success.
  • Attends sales training on products including specialty products and sales skills development.
  • Attends team meetings regarding sales updates, status and progress of sales goals, strategic initiatives, etc.
  • Ensures all regulatory, compliance and transparency requirements are met and complies with all internal policies.
  • Facilitates in-person visits with clients on an as-needed basis and coordinates with Leadership any in-person support if unable to facilitate personally
  • Provides subject-matter expert support to other sales team members at a peer-to-peer level as needed and within reason so as not to interfere with primary focus of client sales and support
  • Other duties as assigned.

Educational / Experience Requirements

Associate's degree in business or related field with a minimum of three years’ sales experience or equivalent combination of education and experience; Bachelor’s degree preferred; experience in account management and customer retention; office products sales experience and / or industry knowledge preferred; must have valid driver’s license.
