Summary :

The Clinic Supervisor leads the strategic and operational management of the Care Ring Clinic, ensuring the efficient and high-quality delivery of medical services to patients in alignment with the Organization's mission and strategic objectives. This role combines advanced clinical expertise with strong leadership capabilities to drive organizational effectiveness, implement change management initiatives, and ensure exceptional patient care delivery. With upcoming expansions including Medicaid integration, the Supervisor will play a critical role in adapting clinic operations to meet evolving healthcare needs while maintaining the core mission of serving uninsured patients.

Responsibilities : Operations :

  • Drive operational excellence through development and implementation of standard operating procedures and workflow optimizations
  • Lead cross-departmental initiatives to align clinical operations with organizational objectives
  • Spearhead change management processes to improve clinical efficiency and patient care outcomes
  • Direct daily clinic operations, including resource allocation, staffing optimization, and schedule management
  • Oversee Medicaid billing processes and ensure compliance with program requirements
  • Monitor claims submission, denial management, and revenue cycle optimization
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators to ensure achievement of clinical and financial objectives
  • Maintain knowledge of current Medicaid policies, regulations, and reimbursement guidelines
  • Facilitate collaborative relationships between clinical staff, providers, and administrative teams
  • Design and implement process improvement initiatives based on data-driven insights
  • Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for clinical and administrative staff
  • Foster a collaborative work environment that promotes team engagement and satisfaction
  • Implement performance management systems to evaluate and enhance staff capabilities
  • Coordinate comprehensive training programs for new and existing staff
  • Manage workforce planning, including scheduling, time-off requests, and coverage coordination
  • Lead team meetings and facilitate effective communication across all levels of the organization

Administrative :

  • Works closely with Senior Leadership to implement continuous quality improvement and ensure the clinic meets operational, financial, and clinical targets
  • Conducts client record reviews and maintains required data collection systems
  • Maintains accurate paper and electronic patient files
  • Ensures the efficient performance, use, and quality checks of all clinic equipment are completed
  • Coordinates reporting of clinic incidents such as OSHA BBP, injury, etc.
  • Monitors operations for patient confidentiality and adherence to privacy practices
  • Collaborates with pertinent contacts on required staff trainings and updates regarding clinic needs and responsibilities
  • Attends and collaborates in agency middle management team meetings and activities
  • Manages end-of-day reconciliation of clinic revenue and daily deposit, identifying and investigating any discrepancies
  • Engages in new initiatives and project roll-outs
  • Assists in selection and supervision of MedServe Fellows
  • Clinical Triage :

  • Demonstrates adequate knowledge of normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology of disease processes as seen in the clinical setting
  • Triages patient phone calls and walk-in patients to evaluate and assess patients' healthcare needs based on signs and symptoms, utilizing established triage protocols and guidelines
  • Oversees and adjusts patient support resources when clinically appropriate, including care coordination, chronic disease management education, medication management, and referral to specialty care and social service agencies
  • Documents all client encounters, both in person and telephonic, in the patient's medical record and provides accurate and complete data to providers as needed
  • Performs venipuncture as needed, administers medications and immunizations per provider order, and reads TB skin tests as needed
  • Assists with Clinical Policy & Procedure and Standing Order development and revision
  • Provides clinical staff education and training
  • Recognizes and responds to medical emergencies
  • Stakeholder Relations & Program Development :

  • Builds and maintains strategic partnerships with community healthcare organizations
  • Collaborates with executive leadership on organizational planning and resource allocation
  • Manages relationships with external vendors and service providers
  • Develops and maintains emergency response protocols
  • Oversees patient satisfaction initiatives and complaint resolution processes
  • Participates in budget planning and financial management activities
  • Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Holds a current NC RN License with demonstrated clinical leadership experience
  • Maintains current BCLS certification
  • Possesses minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience
  • Has minimum 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Demonstrates extensive experience in chronic disease management and population health programs
  • Shows proven success in implementing care management protocols for complex patient populations
  • Exhibits strong change management and process improvement capabilities
  • Has experience in developing and implementing standard operating procedures
  • Demonstrates advanced knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements and quality standards
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English (preferred)
  • Proficient in electronic health records and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Possesses knowledge of state-specific Medicaid policies and procedures
  • Has significant experience in women's health and pediatric
  • Demonstrates experience with postpartum care coordination
  • Shows expertise in pediatric preventive care and well-child visits
  • Understands integrated care approaches supporting maternal and child health
  • Capable of supporting and developing two-generational care strategies within primary care settings
  • Self-starter who is responsive and able to multitask independently
  • Exercises sound judgment and decision-making
  • Demonstrates computer literacy in Outlook calendar, email, word processing, spreadsheet, database, and operating system software programs
  • Possesses knowledge and understanding of health and human resources and community organizations
  • Proven ability to interface with physicians, midlevel providers and other clinic staff
