Job Summary :

The individual selected for this position will work closely with the customer to address complex scientific problems related to a variety of areas such as physics, chemistry, and the atmospheric sciences. The candidate should have the ability to perform independent research and develop the proper approach / solution to related scientific problems.

Responsibilities :

  • Must be able to create modeling tools and modify existing tools using common programming languages.
  • Develop and interpret scientific codes and algorithms.
  • Conduct research on forces, structures and phenomena
  • Evaluate experiment results and perform quality control tests
  • Develop and analyze the results of models
  • Data analysis and interpretation
  • Report generation

Requirements :

  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Must have a Top-Secret or higher security clearance.
  • Must have a PHD degree in Physics and fifteen (15) or more years of relevant experience with a proven record of research in their field of expertise.
  • Expertise in Physics related disciplines such as Astrophysics, nuclear and electromagnetic theory, hydrodynamics
  • Proficient in creating tools in common programming languages.
  • Knowledge of engineering science and technology
  • Experience working with the National Labs
  • Expert level knowledge of Optical Modeling and associated phenomenology's
  • Familiar with EMP scaling laws
  • Expert knowledge of nuclear modeling codes such as HYCHEM and RADFLO.
  • Expert knowledge of optical and EMP modeling.
  • Analytical thinking skills
  • Good writing skills, as there will be a requirement to write reports.
  • Degree of judgment and multi-tasking associated with performing job duties.
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Effective communicator
  • Works well independently or as part of a team
  • Successful background and drug screening check.

    • Preferred Requirements :

  • HPC processing relevant to GPU, Parallel, or Tensor design
  • Familiar with Astrophysics, nuclear physics, electromagnetic theory, hydrodynamics
  • Finite Volume and / or Finite Difference Time Domain expertise.
