job summary :
This highly impactful role is responsible for being the vendor expert in their assigned geographic territory. They will be tasked with sourcing new vendors, working with current vendors, setting pricing and service areas, and ensuring relationships are nurtured and grown. This role will also work with internal stakeholders to ensure vendors are following LDR's service, quality, and billing procedures / standards. This position is vital to the attainment of LDR's tactical and long-term vendor management strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will :
- Build positive and productive relationships with vendors whereby expectations are set and exceeded for both parties
- Negotiate vendor pricing
- Establish service areas(that coincide with the set pricing)
- Establish clear and enforceable vendor terms (billing expectations, quality, service)
- Maintain an expert knowledge of their territory's driving factors (pricing, geographic, service issues, etc.)
- Establish preferred vendor lists for each zone / market etc.
- Work with the Accounts Payable team to ensure proper billing process is being followed and consistent timely payments occur
- Work with sales leadership to ensure the correct coverage in areas of opportunity
- Meet or exceed position specific performance objectives utilizing clear, measurable, and reportable metrics / KPMs
- Leverage experience and related tools to improve both the speed and the quality of our sourcing activities
- Implement process improvements for vendor selection, network expansion and price negotiations.
- Implement tactics and strategies to promote vendor effectiveness and efficiency
- Utilize measurable performance metrics for all levels of procurement activities
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with all internal departments and team members.
- Work collaboratively across the organization to identify opportunities; assist with problem solving / root cause analysis, offer solutions and process improvements for consideration.

Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess the following experience, skills, and qualifications :
3-5 years of related experience, with at least 3 years of procurement & sourcing of managed services for a defined territory or verticalExperience in sourcing and partner relationship building / vendor managementExperience in a customer driven remote environment a plusExcellent organizational and problem-solving skills with superior positive communication style.Strong implementation capabilities with a positive mindset and emotional intelligence.Ability to quickly learn and utilize various software platforms.Ability to coordinate multiple group efforts within the company to achieve objectivesEmbraces change with a positive mindset and can implement changes quicklyAbility to work independently and collaboratively, plan and organize work efficiently and accurately, communicate effectively and in a professional manner with all levels and maintain a high level of confidentialityAbility to handle multiple tasks, with ability to meet deadlines.Experience using Salesforce.com or similar CRM.Educational Requirements :
Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
