Job description

Mortgage Documents Specialist is responsible for managing and processing the documentation that follows a mortgage loan after it has been originated and closed. This role involves ensuring that all required paperwork is accurately completed, signed, and filed in compliance with regulatory standards and company policies. The Mortgage Documents Specialist typically works closely with loan officers, underwriters, title companies, and borrowers to obtain any missing or updated documentation needed to complete the loan file.

Pay : $17 / hr

Onsite : St Paul MN

Job Responsibilities :

  • Perform a formal review and inspection of all final loan documents to ensure accuracy and completeness within the designated time period.
  • Capture any required data elements in the application.
  • Follow up via phone or email on pending documents.
  • Record (check-in) documents as they are received and any comments into the database.
  • Monitor reports to track outstanding documents.
  • File and retrieve documents as necessary and ship to final destination.

Job Requirements :

  • High School Graduate or GED
  • Minimum 6 months of experience working with mortgage and title documents
  • Title company or post-closing related experience preferred
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office applications
  • Excellent time management skills as well as attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
