Job description

The Assistant Controller supports the Controller by managing key functions of the accounting department, including accounts payable, month-end close processes, productivity reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial audits. This role involves resolving discrepancies in financial records and overseeing special projects.

Location : Littleton, Colorado (On-Site)

Responsibilities :

  • The Assistant Controller assists the Controller with accounts payable, month-end close, reporting, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Provide support for audits and manage special projects as needed.
  • The Assistant Controller oversees accounting operations, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
  • Lead and optimize accounting processes for continuous improvement as the Assistant Controller .
  • Collaborate with the Controller on financial reporting and analysis as the Assistant Controller .
  • Drive improvements in accounting practices and internal controls under the direction of the Assistant Controller .
  • The Assistant Controller manages multiple tasks independently with strong attention to detail.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum 7 years of accounting experience, with at least 4 years in a senior role.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software systems.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and GASB standards.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership skills as an Assistant Controller .
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Inquisitive and proactive mindset
