Lead Machinist – 3D Printing Industry

Austin, TX | Full-Time | On-Site

A cutting-edge company at the forefront of large-format 3D printing is seeking a Lead Machinist to take charge of machining operations, drive process improvements, and help shape the future of advanced manufacturing.

What You’ll Do

  • Program & Operate CNC Mills – Utilize offline CAD / CAM software to machine precision components.
  • Design & Build Fixtures – Develop jigs and fixtures to streamline production.
  • Optimize Processes – Identify ways to improve quality, efficiency, and throughput.
  • Manage Scheduling & Production – Oversee machining schedules and meet deadlines.
  • Collaborate & Train – Work closely with engineers and production teams to refine designs and train staff on best practices.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment.
  • Proficiency in CNC machining, with strong knowledge of tolerances and GD&T.
  • Expertise in CAD / CAM programming (Fusion 360, Mastercam, or similar).
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with a passion for innovation.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift 50+ lbs.
