Job description

Join the forefront of the energy industry's transformation as a Senior Electrical Engineer. This leadership role is pivotal in designing and executing innovative energy solutions that advance sustainability and reliability. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, mentor talent, and drive impactful projects in power generation, renewable energy, and medium voltage distribution systems.

Responsibilities :

  • Lead electrical engineering teams to deliver tailored solutions for diverse market sectors.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand energy needs and develop innovative strategies.
  • Oversee end-to-end project services, from concept through detailed design and execution.
  • Provide technical advisory and Owner’s Engineer services.
  • Support business development efforts, including proposals and strategic planning.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineering staff to foster professional growth.
  • Contribute to the success of projects by working on-site in Cary, NC, two days per week.

Qualifications : Required :

  • Bachelor´s or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) licensure or eligibility within one year.
  • 10+ years of engineering design or consulting experience.
  • Expertise in client engagement, solution delivery, and proposal development.
  • Strong technical writing, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Availability to travel as needed (up to 50%).
  • The position requires being able to obtain a Security Clearance.
  • Preferred :

  • Expertise in medium voltage power distribution, substation design, and renewable energy systems.
  • Proficiency in power system modeling tools (e.g., ETAP, SKM Power Tools).
  • Experience in large-scale medium voltage projects for institutions or military facilities.
  • Familiarity with NEC, SCADA, or campus utility planning.
  • Background in microgrids, cogeneration, or decarbonization initiatives.
  • Experience managing engineering personnel.
