Compliance Analyst

AdvancedMD, a Global Payments Company based in South Jordan, UT, is looking for a Compliance Analyst to expand our Compliance team. At AdvancedMD, the Compliance team is responsible for maintaining company's adherence to HIPAA program requirements, HITECH Act, PCI-DSS, and other applicable state and federal laws through internal policies, standards and annual audit activities. Our team works with the entire organization and external parties to ensure success in implementation of processes, identification and management of risks and completion of required activities.

Responsibilities :

Working with the Compliance Officer, the Compliance Analyst is responsible for :

Providing day-to-day business support by managing internal and external requests, inquiries, issues, and legal demands following established processes

Scheduling and coordinating audit activities throughout the year to completion (HIPAA, PCI, SOC and risk assessments)

Developing a competent understanding of HIPAA’s Privacy, Security, and Breach Notification Rules and internal policies

Contributing to process evaluation and improvement in all areas of the compliance program

Identification and reporting of organizational risks

Additional responsibilities based on proficiency or experience

Ideal Candidate :

4-year college degree and 2 years or more of professional experience, or equivalent of 6+ yrs. of relative professional experience or specialized training in Healthcare, Compliance, Operational Risk, Audit, Legal or other related field

Familiarity with healthcare environment, practice management and / or electronic health record systems

Ability to work independently with some guidance and instruction

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Effective communications skills, both verbal and written

Demonstrate good judgment and have excellent attention to detail and defined processes

Interest in deep-diving into policies and a respect for nuance
