We are searching for an Industrial Hygienist someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will ensure a safe environment for employees, patients, visitors, and contractors through a comprehensive Environmental Health & Safety program that includes industrial hygiene monitoring, hazardous materials management, preconstruction risk assessments and construction safety, fire and life safety, emergency response, and regulatory compliance (The Joint Commission, OSHA, EPA, and State).

Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Conducts industrial hygiene risk assessments and monitoring.
- Determines, implements, and evaluates the effectiveness of engineering, administrative, and personal protective equipment controls to reduce employee exposure risks. This may be accomplished through internal resources or outside industrial hygiene or safety consultants, as appropriate.
- Provides technical consultation as the subject matter expert to the preconstruction risk assessment program, hazardous materials management program, and department leaders.
- Conducts Environment of Care and safety rounds, tracks compliance trends, and provides recommendations for safety process improvements.
- Conducts fire drills in accordance with The Joint Commission and City requirements. Analyzes results of fire drills to provide recommendations for improvement to fire and evacuation processes.
- Develops programs to reduce / eliminate occupational injuries and illnesses through data analysis, incident investigations, and ergonomic assessments.
- Develops and delivers safety training for employees and contractors.
- Develops and presents reports on safety risk assessments and safety program updates to the Environment of Care Committee and associated Safety subcommittees.
- Maintains and ensures compliance with existing regulatory agencies, including required permits and compliance reporting.
- Maintains knowledge of relevant standards from The Joint Commission, OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory and governmental agencies regarding worker safety, hazardous materials management, and Environment of Care standards.

Skills & Requirements
Required bachelor's degree in industrial Hygiene, Safety Engineering, or a similar fieldRequired 3 years related experience
