Overview :

The Sr. Java Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance applications within Mastercard's technology ecosystem. This role involves working with cutting-edge technologies, ensuring system reliability, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive software excellence.

Position : Full-Time, Onsite

Responsibilities :

Develop and maintain Java-based applications using J2EE technologies.
Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive end-to-end development and optimize system performance.
Conduct code reviews, build test strategies, and support operational issues.
Apply modern software design principles such as SOLID, DRY, and Single Responsibility.
Utilize technologies such as PCF, NiFi, NATS, Kafka, Zookeeper, Splunk, Redis, Cassandra, and Oracle.
Write complex SQL queries and optimize database interactions.

Required Qualifications :

8+ years of experience in Java (J2EE) development.

Expertise in building and consuming REST APIs and microservices.

Hands-on experience with Oracle DB and cloud-native solutions (AWS or Azure preferred).

Strong understanding of distributed systems and messaging frameworks like Kafka and NATS.

Experience with containerization and cloud platforms such as PCF.

Proficiency in performance tuning, debugging, and troubleshooting applications.

Additional Information :

Must be able to work onsite from Day 1 in O'Fallon, MO

Experience in financial or payment processing industries is a plus

Candidate Details :

Must have strong Java, microservices, and cloud experience

Should be comfortable working with databases and writing complex queries

Must have excellent problem-solving and communication skills
