Job Summary :
This position will oversee the tracking and maintenance of the managed care contracts and / or AHCCCS Contractor Operations Manual (ACOM), and AHCCCS Medical Policy Manual (AMPM). Providing support to the Contracts and Policy Administrator and two Assistant Directors within the division, researching complex and / or participating on special work groups and coordinating the efforts of numerous staff across multiple divisions.
Job Duties :
Major duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Oversee and tracks the development and / or revisions for the AHCCCS Contractor Operations Manual (ACOM) and AHCCCS Medical Policy Manual (AMPM) policies, attachments, exhibits, forms, and other materials. Including actively participating in policy discussion and coordinating, editing, and providing comprehensive review of all policy changes and identify impacts and changes.
- Organizing Policy Committee review, public comment feedback, and publishing of the policies to the appropriate location on the website.
- Obtain input into solicitations on critical management care contract provisions / revisions from stakeholders within and outside DMCO, coordinate with subject matter expert review / revision and feedback. Tracking contract revisions to ensure alignment across all lines of business.
- Assist in preparing the required documentation for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to obtain approval of new and renewal contracts within established timeframes. Assist with contract development / amendments and / or Request for Proposal process as needed within the unit.
- Manage ad hoc administrative projects that may involve researching laws, statutes, rules or other federal, state or local guidance and making recommendations or providing feedback based on that research.

Minimum : 1-2 years experience in a regulatory environment & experience with Medicaid managed care contracting.
Preferred : Bachelor's degree in a related field and / or direct experience (2-4 years) in a healthcare environment.
