Responsibilities & Expectations
- Develop machining process for parts fabrication, including fixtures, cutting tools, gages.
- Support all continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
- Prepare detailed work instruction (MOTs), Set-up sheets and process plans.
- Lead / ensure the lessons learned are shared and implemented.
- Recommend process improvements to improve quality and customer satisfaction.
- Must have thorough understanding of GD&T
- Advanced Engineering Software and ERP Software is preferred.
- Due to ITAR regulations, this position requires that the employee be a US Person (US Citizen or Permanent Resident)
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Due to ITAR regulations, this position requires that the employee be a US Person (US Citizen or Permanent Resident)Previous manufacturing experience related to mechanical components for aerospace preferred3 - 5 years experience with sheet metal fabrications and welding requiredBachelors degree in engineering field highly preferredWork onsite, in the office, sitting for up to 8 hours at a time.Expert ability to read and interpret aerospace drawings, specifications, and customer requirements, including contractsSound analytical and problem-solving skills within a production environmentThe ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure, deadline critical production environmentAbility to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees, management, and clients.Strong attention to detail, organizational, time management and follow-up skills.Utilization of Microsoft Office applications including Teams and otherPossess a high degree of initiative and be self-motivated, ability to work with minimal supervision.
