Bowser Collision Center is seeking an experienced Body Shop Service Appraiser / Estimator to schedule repair work for the Body Shop and to sell additional needed services and repairs to customers. The Body Shop Service Appraiser / Estimator maintains dealership standards of quality and the highest level of customer satisfaction (CSI).
Essential Responsibilities :
- Greets customers and obtains customer and vehicle data.
- Schedules appointments for repairs.
- Determines general nature of repairs needed and writes a clear description of customer needs on the repair order and / or works with insurance adjusters as necessary.
- Walks around vehicle with customer noting any additional damage. Also points out other repairs or maintenance for which the customer has a need.
- Provides customer with estimated repair costs and anticipated time of completion.
- Arranges rental vehicle for customer if appropriate.
- Verifies intended method of payment.
- Obtains customer signature on repair order.
- Maintains contact with technicians throughout the workday.
- Maintains optimum CSI.
- Administers appropriate warranties.
- Test-drives vehicles as time permits.
- Notifies customer when repairs are completed.
- Delivers vehicle to customer at pick-up and reviews work performed.
Education and Qualifications :
PA Appraiser LicenseHigh school diploma or the equivalent. Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.Experience in an automobile dealership body shop or independent body shop facility.Professional appearance and excellent oral and written communication skills.Valid driver's license and good driving record.Physical Requirements :
Ability to lift and move objects weighing between 10 and 25 pounds.Ability to drive cars and trucks automatic and manual transmission.
