Electrical Engineer

Actalent is currently hiring for an Electrical Engineer to support a reputable A&E firm that has a large presence in the Midwest with offices in Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana. The A&E Firm primarily focuses on publicly funded projects for state and federal work which could include jails, correctional facilities, municipality buildings, first responder buildings, fire stations, police stations, distribution centers, and postal services. The A&E firm also has a large contract with the USPS to perform MEP design on a variety of projects.

As the Electrical Engineer you will be a part of a team that focuses on projects that are managed throughout Ohio, Michigan, and Florida. Your main responsibility will be to PM projects for the various clients that you will be managing and providing oversight to the production of drawings. Quality control and checking of documents produced by less tenured designers / drafters will also be a part of your daily tasks. The A&E firm is a Revit based firm and all drawings will be produced within Revit. You will also be required to design within Revit when needed and will also need to assist other MEP teams that are located throughout the Midwest.

This will be a role where you will be a Consultant with Actalent providing support to the A&E firm and after supporting the firm for 9 months, you have the ability to transition to their team as a direct employee. This position is 100% remote for individuals (who meet the qualifications) that are located in either Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky, or Pennsylvania. You must live near a major city in the Midwest that has a large enough airport that will allow you to get to a client site in a day.

Skills

  • Revit (MEP) : Understanding of Revit and also how to produce construction documents. This is important due to the importance of having to check over the work done by the drafters / designers

  • 10-20% travel to sites to meet with clients and provide solutions to issues on-site
