Job description

Position Description

Responsible for executing the provisioning effort for assigned programs, including :

  • Research, development, preparation, loading, manipulation, and maintenance of provisioning parts data
  • Preparing provisioning documentation for delivery to internal and external customers using provisioning and sparing techniques and technologies
  • Developing various provisioning and Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) Records documentation in accordance with applicable military standards
  • Preparing technical portions of spare parts lists, Provisioning Technical Documentation (PTD), Illustrated Parts Breakdown (IPB), Repair Parts and Special Tools List (RPSTL), and Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs)
  • Analyzing spare and repair part requirements and providing project estimates, as needed

Skills Required

  • Detailed knowledge of applicable Military Standards used for developing Logistics Management Information (LMI) data
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Ability to define and / or forecast support requirements
  • Familiarity with logistics design influence
  • Proficient with software and tools for LMI-related activities
  • Ability to plan and document using LSA / LSAR (Logistics Support Analysis / Record), covering the development, testing, and deployment of logistics resources as part of the acquisition process
  • Experience in conducting customer meetings (internal / external), validations / verifications, logistics demonstrations, LSA / LSAR reviews, and in-process reviews
  • Computer literacy with the ability to interpret Military Standards and engineering drawings

    • Skills Preferred

  • Experience with relevant LMI applications in a defense environment
  • Awareness or basic understanding of the ten Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) elements

    • Experience Required

  • Relevant Associate degree plus an additional 6 years of experience; or relevant Bachelor's degree plus an additional 2 years of experience
  • Military experience may be considered in lieu of formal education

    • Education Preferred
