Description : POSITION DESCRIPTION

POSITION TITLE : User Experience Designer

REPORTS TO : Manager / Sr. Manager Digital Products and Experience

STATUS : Exempt

LOCATION : Administration

POSITION SUMMARY : The User Experience Designer is responsible for the creation, launch, and maintenance of the digital guest experience across all digital ordering channels. This position is collaborative and technical, in addition to being creative. The person will work with external vendors and internal resources, such as software developers and engineers, project managers, data and analytics teams, and operational teams to create new features and renovate existing features for an improved digital guest experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in web development well as experience in designing for Native iOS and Android platforms. A multi-faceted role, this position will be responsible for collaboratively ensuring that all digital ordering is guest-centric, well-integrated, easy to use, and facilitates higher conversion rates, revenue, and guest satisfaction scores.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to :

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement innovative user experiences for web and mobile applications.
  • Develop and maintain user interface designs using Figma for design for web and native mobile applications
  • Create intuitive and visually appealing designs for Native iOS and Android applications.
  • Assist the research team to deploy usability testing to gather insights for make informed decisions about design choices
  • Champion a data-driven mindset, leveraging analytics, user feedback, and A / B testing to measure and optimize the effectiveness of user experiences and drive data-informed design decisions.
  • Translate user needs and business requirements into wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
  • Ensure consistency and adherence to brand, and design library standards across all platforms.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies.

  • QUALIFICATIONS :
  • Education :
  • Four-year college degree in graphic design, studio art, computer sciences, business, communications, MIS, or a related field; however, a minimum of 4 years of working experience, as defined below, can be substituted for educational requirements.
  • Experience :
  • A minimum of 2 years’ work experience in any digital user experience design, website or app design, or software development for a large, fast-moving organization or set of clients is required.
  • Desired Skills :
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a User Experience Designer role.
  • Understanding of REACT for web development and native REACT for mobile devices.
  • Experience designing for native iOS and Android platforms.
  • Excellent understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.
  • Proficient in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
  • Experience with headless CMS for web content, especially Buidler.io
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • Familiarity with front-end development languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and guidelines.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
