Job description

HRIS Data Integrity Specialists are responsible for maintaining the accuracy, reliability, and security of employee data within our Human Resource Information System (HRIS). This role will work closely with HR, IT, and other departments to ensure that all data is correctly entered, updated, and managed. They are the first line of defense against bad or disorganized data, incorrectly categorized colleagues and departments, and the information required for accounting and finance teams. HRIS Data Integrity Specialists will be responsible for maintenance within the HRIS and other systems that are used by all colleagues across the organization.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Data Management : Monitor and manage employee data within the HRIS, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and completeness across all HR functions including payroll, benefits, and employee records.
  • Data Quality Assurance : Conduct regular audits and data integrity checks to identify and resolve discrepancies, inconsistencies, or errors in the HRIS. This includes information used in the creation of reporting for general ledger and financial systems (e.g., Lawson, Solomon, etc.).
  • System Maintenance : Collaborate with IT and HR teams to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, support the implementation of system updates, and manage data migrations or integrations.
  • Reporting & Analytics : Generate reports on data quality and integrity, providing insights and recommendations to HR leadership for improving data management practices.
  • Process Improvement : Identify and implement best practices and process improvements for data entry, data management, and system use to enhance overall data quality and system efficiency.
  • Compliance & Security : Ensure that data management practices comply with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, and company policies, maintaining confidentiality and data security.
  • Documentation : Maintain accurate documentation of data management processes, procedures, and system changes to support continuity and compliance.

Qualifications :

  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience : Minimum of 3 years of experience in data management or HRIS roles, preferably within a healthcare setting.
  • Technical Skills : Proficiency in HRIS platforms (e.g., UKG) and strong knowledge of healthcare data management practices.
  • Attention to Detail : Exceptional attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and data integrity.
  • Analytical Skills : Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, analyze data, and resolve issues effectively.
  • Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to non-technical users.
  • Problem-Solving : Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex data issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Compliance Knowledge : Understanding of healthcare regulations and data privacy requirements, including HIPAA, is highly desirable.
