Job description

POSITION TITLE :   Network Engineer

REPORTS TO : Director - Networking

POSITION SUMMARY :

The Network Engineer will help design, deploy, and support networking technologies for American Eagle Outfitters. This position is responsible for network infrastructure both on-premise and within public cloud providers. You will work as a member of a team ensuring delivery of network services across the AEO enterprise network.

QUALIFICATIONS : General

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex concepts simply and clearly
  • Troubleshooting complex topologies in a vendor agnostic environment
  • Demonstrated experience with medium / large enterprise networks
  • Project Management skills
  • Familiarity with Atlassian Tool Suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
  • Demonstrate competencies in one or more areas outline in the technical qualifications

Technical

  • Palo Alto
  • Security policy and security profiles
  • System upgrades and validations
  • Global Protect VPN
  • Prisma SD-WAN (Previously known as Cloudgenix)
  • Cisco
  • Experience with Cisco IOS / NX OS platforms
  • Operational familiarity with Cisco ACI
  • ISE, Catalyst Center (formerly DNAC)
  • Experience using Network Automation for standardization and information gathering
  • Public cloud provider platform(s) Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Azure
  • Application Networking (f5, HA-Proxy, GCP IaaS)
  • Meraki or Cisco wireless
  • RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Execution of project work to support company initiatives
  • Identify areas of improvement and execute on them autonomously
  • Generate and maintain detailed physical and logical network diagrams
  • Participate in hierarchical on-call rotation
