Subcontracts Manager

Are you a creative, solutions-oriented subcontracts professional? Do you have subcontracts experience within an aerospace & military or similar environment? Are you a resourceful and innovative problem solver? If you answered yes to all of the above, please read on!

In this newly created role in our organization, we will look to you to develop strategic solutions and provide direction on subcontracting options and approaches to a variety of business decisions. You will need to apply business critical skills as well as your in-depth subcontracts expertise to ensure you meet both external customer contractual requirements as well as aligning business unit stakeholders and corporate business objectives.

This new Subcontracts Manager position aligned with our Defense Solutions business which develops Curtiss-Wright's most advanced embedded electronics. You should have relevant industry experience and passion for technology and innovation combined with a comprehensive background in managing all aspects of major subcontracts.

This will be a challenging and rewarding opportunity for the right person who wants to make a difference in a global and growing organization.

Your Challenge :

• Ensure that company's interests are first and foremost protected through compliance with all company policies, applicable laws, regulatory and customer requirements while balancing corporate business objectives.
• Lead complex subcontract price and terms and conditions negotiations. Understand the business case and have an appreciation of contractual, financial / analytical issues and profit and loss implications as it relates to Subcontracting.
• Build and maintain trusted and valued relationships with key suppliers and manages supplier performance within an AS9100 environment.
• Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and team members; provide strong support to program management identifying, managing and resolving subcontractor / supplier scope changes.
• Demonstrate exceptional responsiveness to internal and external customers and follow through on commitments.
• Develop and manage the Defense Solutions Division's small business subcontracting program, including the preparation and reporting of small business subcontracting plans.
