Job description

Beacon Hill Legal is seeking a Patent Docket Specialist for a leading global law firm. The Patent Docket Specialist will be responsible for maintaining the computerized patent docket system and will work closely with the Regional Manager of Patent Support Services. The ideal candidate is someone who has working knowledge of the CPI database, and over one year of experience with US and foreign patent docketing. This opportunity is direct hire, full time, and hybrid (3 days in, 2 days remote).

Responsibilities :

Manage all aspects of the CPI database, including :

Information related to each specific application, docket due dates, and remarks

Incoming domestic and foreign client communications

Communications from the Patent and Trademark Office

Process and deliver incoming electronic communications according to departmental procedures

Provide docket, status, and maintenance reports to patent personnel and attorneys as needed

Qualifications :

At least one year of docketing experience or equivalent knowledge of patent processes

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, and Excel)

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to work well under pressure and in a team environment

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Flexibility to work overtime
