Visiting Angels of Northbrook is Seeking a Compassionate Home Caregiver to Join Our Growing Team!

Design the schedule that works for you

Caregiver Benefits :

Convenient and flexible shifts – Hourly or Live-In shifts available
Overtime holiday pay, new employee referral bonus, and mileage reimbursement
Limit your exposure to the public by working in a one-on-one care environment
Meaningful work responsibilities and a positive working environment
Organized and caring leadership, which provides 24-hour support

Caregiver Responsibilities :

Provide non-medical support to senior clients in their homes

Supply personal care and hygiene assistance; including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting

Provide friendly companionship and socialization

Help the client with mobility-related challenges, such as help with walking and / or transfers

Issue medication reminders, where required

Transport clients to doctor's appointments and errands

Perform meal preparation, grocery shopping, and light housekeeping duties

Caregiver Requirements :

Valid Driver’s License, lease / own your own vehicle, and provide proof of current auto insurance

Perform all personal care and hygiene assistance functions as described above

Submit to state / national criminal background check, state fingerprinting, and drug screening

Able to transfer patients and provide needed mobility assistance, including turning immobile patients who are bed-ridden

1 year of senior caregiving experience is preferred
