About the Opportunity :
We’re partnering with a well-established company in the retail / grocery industry based in Monrovia, CA , to find a dedicated ADA Specialist to support their HR team during a maternity leave. This is a full-time, fully in-office temporary role with the possibility of transitioning to a contract-to-hire opportunity for the right candidate.
The ideal candidate thrives in a high-volume environment , regularly handling 5–10 ADA requests per day , and is highly organized, communicative, and empathetic in supporting team members through the accommodation process.
Key Responsibilities :
- Review, track, and maintain documentation of ADA accommodation requests
Handle high-volume caseloads (5–10 requests per day) efficiently and with attention to detail
Partner with HR Generalists to gather background information on requests
Communicate regularly with store leadership regarding submitted and approved accommodations
Guide employees and store leaders through the interactive accommodation process
Maintain accurate and thorough records of all communications and decisions
Preferred Qualifications :
3 plus year of prior experience handling ADA or workplace accommodation requests, ideally in high-volume environments
Familiarity with Dayforce HRIS (preferred but not required)
Excellent organization and time management with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting.
High level of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Legal Studies, Business, or a related field preferred.
