Job Summary
SEARHC is seeking an Optometry Assistant to support eye care services for patients of all ages. This role assists providers with patient screening, optical services, ocular imaging, documentation, scheduling, and administrative support. The position offers progressive skill development through on-the-job training and self-study modules.
Responsibilities
- Room and screen patients for providers.
- Perform optical and point-of-care testing.
- Obtain ocular imaging, including retinal photos, OCT, visual fields, and corneal topography.
- Assist patients with eyeglass and contact lens orders, fittings, adjustments, repairs, and warranty replacements.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
- Support scheduling, referrals, patient follow-up, and phone communications.
- Manage inventory, supplies, and invoice reconciliation.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and provide excellent customer service.

- Current BLS Certification.
