A Day in the Life of an ELP Paraeducator Substitute
As a substitute for our ELP Paraeducators, you'll have the freedom to choose when you work, stepping in to support our amazing students when their regular tutors are unavailable. We only ask that you be committed to this schedule and make yourself readily available on the days you select. Get ready to facilitate a variety of fun and age-appropriate enrichment activities across different subjects-everything you need will be prepped and ready for you! You'll create positive connections with students while ensuring a safe and welcoming environment during those after-school hours.
Before the students arrive, you'll dive into the lesson plans to get a jump on the day's activities and set up any necessary equipment. You'll keep the excitement for learning alive by leading engaging and enjoyable activities, making sure the program runs smoothly. As you encourage and celebrate each student's unique abilities, you'll provide consistent supervision and use positive discipline to create a supportive atmosphere.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A PART-TIME ELP PARAEDUCATOR
- 48+ completed college units OR a paraeducator certificate
- Must be available to work at least 3 days per week Monday - Friday
- Passion for instilling a love of learning in young people
PART-TIME WORK SCHEDULE
You choose your availability anywhere from 3 to 5 days; Monday - Friday, 1 : 45 PM - 6 : 00 PM , starting one hour earlier on Wednesdays .
