Job description

Job Description

The Quality Lab Inspector is responsible for inspecting, testing, and sampling product for defects and deviations from specifications. Their primary role is to audit the processes to ensure conformance. Any defects or deviations are escalated following company processes and procedures for disposition.

Essential Duties :

  • Performs x-ray inspection of parts.
  • Performs dimensional inspections of parts using measuring tools and Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) as needed.
  • Performs metal analysis using a spectrometer.
  • Performs daily audits of processes against company policies and procedures.
  • Escalates defections and deviations for resolution.
  • Maintains inspection records, daily product audit results, setup cards, and other inspection records.
  • Informs Quality Manager and Quality Engineer when product fails inspection.
  • Calibrates and maintains laboratory equipment.
  • Performs dock audits, as needed.
  • Maintains 5S program in all areas assigned to Quality Department.

  • Education and / or Experience :

  • Technical school and / or one-year production experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Reasoning Ability :

    Ability to understand and carry out detailed written or verbal instructions.
