LatitudeJacksonville, FLJob Title : Welder (TIG and MIG Experience)Position Overview : We are looking for a versatile welder with experience in both TIG and MIG welding techniques to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in welding various types of metals and capable of producing high-quality welds using both TIG and MIG processes. This role requires attention to detail, technical proficiency, and a commitment to meeting production deadlines while maintaining weld integrity.Responsibilities : Perform TIG and MIG welding operations on metal components according to engineering specifications and project requirements.Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to understand welding requirements and dimensions.Set up welding equipment, including TIG and MIG welding machines, gas cylinders, wire feeders, and torches, ensuring proper settings and calibration.Clean and prepare metal surfaces for welding by grinding, sanding, and degreasing as necessary to achieve proper weld quality.Select appropriate welding rods, filler wires, shielding gases, and wire feed settings based on the metal type, thickness, and welding process being used.Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition, performing regular inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting as needed.Monitor welding performance and make adjustments to welding parameters as necessary to ensure weld quality, penetration, and appearance.Inspect welded joints visually and using non-destructive testing methods to verify weld quality, integrity, and compliance with standards.Follow safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment, including proper handling of welding equipment, materials, and personal protective equipment (PPE).Collaborate with other team members, including engineers, fabricators, and quality control personnel, to coordinate work activities, troubleshoot issues, and optimize welding processes for efficiency and quality.Qualifications : Proven experience as a welder with proficiency in both TIG and MIG welding techniques.Strong knowledge of metallurgy, welding principles, fabrication processes, and welding codes and standards.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols accurately.Proficiency in operating TIG and MIG welding equipment, including power sources, torches, wire feeders, and gas regulators.Familiarity with a variety of metals, including carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and exotic alloys.Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality welds with consistent penetration, fusion, and appearance.Excellent hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and spatial awareness.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot welding issues and make adjustments to welding parameters.Welding certification(s) or relevant vocational training is preferred but not required for candidates with extensive practical experience.Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed to meet production deadlines and project requirements.
