Hiring a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer (P.E. Certified) to provide expert technical guidance and oversight on a variety of electrical systems, including electric master system plans, power systems, facility power systems, and sustainability / renewable energy systems. This role involves managing an industrial engineering team to deliver a number industrial design project for chemical, power, utilities and manufacturing industries.Key Responsibilities : Team Management : Manage and supervise an industrial engineering team, providing technical guidance, training, and mentorship to junior staff.Technical Oversight : Independently oversee and provide expert guidance on complex electrical system designs to meet client project requirements.Compliance Review : Review draft designs for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and sign off on completed designs.Policy Adherence : Ensure all designs follow firm policies, quality and practices.Site Reviews : Perform site reviews and studies to ensure designs align with location specifications, updating design requirements as necessary.Knowledge Contribution : Develop white papers and technical design documentation for new or special case designs and submit technical papers for publication in journals.Proposal Collaboration : Work with sales staff to create proposals in response to RFPs, ensuring adherence to regulations and best practices.Client Engagement : Meet with current and potential clients to review their design needs and provide technical guidance.Industry Visibility : Attend conferences and symposia to enhance the visibility of the firm's products and services.Primary Contact : Act as the main point of contact for external clients and industry contacts, collaborating with clients and government officials to clarify technical questions.Project Updates : Provide updates to project management as necessary.Mentorship : Mentor junior staff to develop their skills and prepare them for future growth within the firm.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or Electrical Technology or related discipline.Professional engineering (PE) license. 15 years of related experience .Domestic and / or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.Preferred QualificationsAbility to supervise the work of others.Proven experience leading a team of industrial electrical engineersUnderstanding of FEL, FEED delivery processExperience with progressive design build and design build delivery methods.Strong communication and organizational skillsAbility to obtain licensing in multiple statesAbility to provide detailed engineering estimateAbility to maintain project budget and scheduleSkills and AbilitiesExpert Knowledge of computer assisted design and drafting (CADD) 3D and 4D software and practices.Expert Knowledge of engineer principles of design.Expert Knowledge of Microsoft business software (excel, word, etc.).Excellent verbal and written communications skills.Expert knowledge of federal, state and local regulations
